SENIOR CHOIR (Meet September - May at 7:30 pm in the music room) Rehearsals Resume September 7th We are looking for new voices to join our core group of singers.Contact Ellen at [email protected] ~ (262) 375-0664 for more information.

TEN REASONS TO JOIN CHOIR...

10:  YOU'LL GAIN ANOTHER FAMILY.
Some of the most wonderful people I know are in the First Immanuel Senior Choir.  This choir will go out of their way to make you feel      at home!  Being involved in a ministry with others is one sure way to build great and meaningful relationships.
9:  EVERYBODY NEEDS A GOOD (ALMOST) MIDWEEK WORSHIP SERVICE.
Don't let the words "choir rehearsal" deceive you.  Yes, you WILL learn your choir part, but you'll also worship our risen Lord in the    meantime, and leave feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the days ahead.
8:  BECAUSE YOU DON'T HAVE TO WIN AMERICAN IDOL TO BE IN THE CHOIR.
You probably knew that already, but a LOT of you think you're not a great enough singer to be part of the choir.  Believe me, you ARE.    I know that without even hearing you!  One of the most amazing things about a choir is how God takes a bunch of voices - some    strong and some not as strong, and blends them together to create beautiful music that honors Him.
7:  BECAUSE YOU DON'T NEED TO HAVE A MUSIC DEGREE TO BE IN CHOIR.
Now, you probably knew that one too.  But, did you know some current First Immanuel Choir
members don't read music?  If that's what's kept you from joining, then your non-choir days are OVER!  Here's what you   do...you come to choir rehearsal and sit next to someone who reads.  All you have to do is LISTEN and you're home free.  You'll be amazed what you can learn by just planting yourself in the middle of the music.
6:  BECAUSE YOU CAN STILL SERVE IN OTHER MINISTRIES WHILE ALSO BEING IN CHOIR.
You may think your Sunday morning schedule won't allow time for choir...but if you're going to a worship service, then you've got time for choir!  The Sunday commitment is actually quite minimal.  We meet in the music room 15 minutes before each service...that's it...15 minutes!
5:  BECAUSE YOU'LL ALWAYS HAVE A RESERVED SEAT.
This one's a real benefit, especially for those Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter services!   Your place is always reserved.
4:  INTELLECTUAL STIMULATION AND A LONGER LIFE
When you make music, you are using both sides of your brain simultaneously.  People who are involved in music live longer and    healthier lives.
3:  BECAUSE SEPTEMBER IS THE PERFECT TIME TO JOIN!
September is one of the most exciting times of the year to dive into the choir.  We'll be learning some new music and gearing up for Thanksgiving and Christmas!
2:  THREE WORDS:  CHOIR IS FUN!
We offer a 100% guarantee you'll have a great time in rehearsal each week.  Besides singing,  we laugh a lot.  Singing will help take your mind off all the politics, deadlines and problems that seem to take over your life.  I assure you, choir will become your midweek pick-me-up.
1:  ONE WORD:  WORSHIP.
There's no denying singing is one of the best vehicles we have to worship the One True God and singing with a roomful of believers who love Him and His music as much as you do is one of the greatest things you'll ever experience.  I hope to see you at choir rehearsal!

STEPHEN MINISTRY

STEPHEN MINISTRY  As you read these weekly articles, you've probably noticed the Stephen Ministry logo accompanying them. It consists of a cross with a broken person and a whole person. What does this logo mean? The broken person behind the cross symbolizes the brokenness of our lives due to our sins and imperfections. The whole person stands in front of the cross because it is only through Jesus that we are made whole. The circle symbolizes the wholeness we receive through Christ, and God's unending love for us. We are all both "broken" and "whole" -sinners and saints- who need to hear and be reminded of God's love for us. Let a Stephen Minister help you remember this as you are going through a tough time. Please call Pastor Reichmann at 377-6610 to request a Stephen Minister's care. Remember to ask permission first if you would like to refer someone else to this ministry.
