Mission & Ministry Moments
"E-Version Edition"
Weekend of February 24 & 25 2018
Our mission is to reach up to God; to reach in to each other; and to reach out to others.

LIFE WITH CHRIST

This Lenten worship series for the weekends of Lent, as well as Holy Week worship, identifies areas of life in which we join with Jesus in living the life He has called us to embrace. We do this by walking through the Gospels to see the love of Christ that rescued us from the stain of sin, the grip of the grave and the gates of hell. We also learn from Jesus how to navigate this life as we live with the promise of life eternal by faith in Him.

·  a child of God who walks beside a person who is hurting (not a counselor or therapist)
·  a caring Christian friend who takes the time to listen (not a problem solver)
·  a lay person who has received 50 hours of training in how to provide distinctively Christian care (not a casual visitor)
If you would consider allowing a Stephen Minister to walk with you on your journey, please contact Pastor Reichmann at 377-6610 for more information.
INTERGEN LIFE   Intergen Life events are open to women of all ages and are held on the CUW campus in the Friends of Concordia Room. Refreshments are provided at these FREE events. For additional information contact Bonnie at 262-375-1786 or wtreloar@wi.rr.com .

Book Talk Monday, March 5th at 7:00 pm , we will tackle Chapter 6 of The End of Me by Kyle Idleman. Entitled “Helpless to be Empowered”, we’ll discuss how Jesus knows everything about us, yet still loves us. Fearful of change, ashamed of our condition, thinking we can’t be anything but helpless? We are reminded that WE CAN…with the help ONLY Jesus can provide.
LWML ( Meets Monthly September - May, 2nd Tuesday at 7:00 pm) Next Meeting: March 13th
Our program will be Mr. Terry Zimmerman who will teach us self-defense. This will be a blessing as he instructs us in ways we can protect ourselves, and others. I am sure he will tell us this has nothing to do with luck but rather being in tune with your instincts, using common sense or emotional intelligence, taking instructions from others, being accountable to others (do they know where you are), and engaging practical safety factors. Ladies, this will prove to be an advantageous opportunity to learn. We invite you to share in this program and share some St. Patrick festivities with our members. We will end with a business meeting which will entail a slate of officers to be presented.

SPRING RALLY Please note the date for this event has changed to Saturday, April 14th . Additional details will be forthcoming.
WHERE MOMS CONNECT ( Meets Semi-Monthly September - May, 2nd & 4th Thursday at 9:00 am ) Next Meeting: March 8th
We will focus on “ Keeping Love Alive ”.  We all have relationships we want to stay strong – friendships, family relationships, and marriages.  This session features an interview with a couple who made it through a tough time and gives practical insights for keeping love alive in a marriage or friendship. FREE CHILDCARE is provided with a bible story, craft, and snack.
Joining a ministry group is a great way to get involved with your Family of Faith!
