Dear Lovers,
Most folks like to slow down a bit in the summer. We at The Love Show are not most folks.
First, tomorrow evening, the dancers will be doing a number and providing ambiance for Elixirs & Eats: Bacon, Beer, Booze, and Burlesque, an exciting event being organized by one of the city's great champions of artisanal food and drink, Jimmy Carbone of Jimmy's No. 43. Yours truly, David F. Slone, Esq., will serve as master of ceremonies.
Then, still on Wednesday, The Love Show is part of an extremely exciting event. In conjunction with the upcoming Oliver Stone film Savages, the folks at prō jekt' : nyc have commissioned several painters to create new works based on the movie. A Savage Society will be the star-studded opening for the show, and The Love Show will present a specially commissioned collaboration between choreographers Angela Harriell and Nobuya Nagahama. It's going to be unlike anything we've ever done!
Thursday night, as always, we'll be presenting our weekly show at Hotel Chantelle, Mon Petit Chou. This week's show will feature a special reunion: Nelson Lugo, who hasn't emceed The Love Show for over half-a-decade, will be doing so once again!
Friday night, we'll be starting a new weekly at Demi Monde, but that deserves its own email, so more on that later!
