Younger-Onset Dementia Discussion      June 30th

Younger-Onset Dementia: A discussion with Dr. Reisa Sperling, Associate Neurologist, Brigham & Women's Hospital, Associate Professor of Neurology, Harvard Medical and Dr. Gad Marshall, Associate Neurologist, Brigham & Women's Hospital, Associate Professor of Neurology, Harvard Medical. Diagnosis and treatment options, research advancements and genetic implications of young-onset dementia.

Open to family members of people living with all stages of younger-onset dementia. Younger-onset affects people under the age of 65 years old.

Support Group Leader Basic Training     Aug. 10th

Wednesday, August 10th                         10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Basic Training is designed for professionals and former family caregivers who want to become facilitators for Alzheimer caregiver support groups. The program focuses on the fundamentals of Alzheimer's disease and other dementias, group dynamics, special problems and concerns in Alzheimer caregiver groups, group management and promotion, and group leader roles and responsibilities.
Cost: $65 includes materials, CEUs and lunch ($40 for those not receiving CEU's).**  CEUs: Social Work 5.5; Nursing 6.6; LMHC 5.5; Activity Professionals 5.5
