A Note from the CSS President...

I just wanted to remind you that Rabbi Joseph is on sabbatical beginning today through the month of December. You'll recall that Rabbi Joseph's contract, like many clergy contracts, provides for her to take four months of sabbatical over a six-year period. To avoid the strains on the congregation that a four-month sabbatical might impose, Rabbi Joseph has instead elected to break it up into several blocks over the six-year period. Although we miss Rabbi Joseph already, we wish her well as she spends this sabbatical in Israel, and thank Cantor Weiss for taking on the extra work while Rabbi is away.

These are obviously interesting times in Israel. We look forward to hearing Rabbi Joseph's reflections when she returns.

Best wishes to all,
Scott Garland
