12:00-2:00 p.m. - Tidal Shift Workshop
Help create a public art installation! This FREE workshop supports Bring Your Own Bag Beverly in its efforts to reduce single-use plastic bag usage in the city. Tidal Shift is a community project that communicates the negative impact of plastic bag pollution in our oceans through large scale participatory public art installations. We create jellyfish from USED plastic bags to understand how marine life mistake plastic bags for food. This leads to the widespread ingestion of harmful plastic by sea creatures. Everyone is invited to come to this Sunday afternoon art-making event (bring any single-use plastic bags - like from grocery stores, for example! - that you may have to add to the project). Tidal Shift will be showcased as a completed project at Beverly Arts Fest on June 16th.

4:00 p.m. - Allagash Work Time
All those who plan on participating in the summer 2018 Allagash Wilderness Trip (June 22nd - July 7th) are strongly encouraged to come to these weekly work times whenever possible to help prepare our gear and our group for the trip! ALSO we are seeking volunteers from the congregation to assist with various aspects of the logistics of the trip - not being ON the Waterway but helping to support our efforts in any number of ways. Please talk with or email Julie Flowers ([email protected]) if you are interested.

6:00 p.m. - Senior High Fellowship
