When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them.
And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. Now there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men from every nation under heaven. Acts 2:1-5 (ESV) .
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
This Sunday, which is the feast of Pentecost, we will have healing prayer at both services. Please join us in asking for the Spirit's healing grace to touch those who need healing in mind, body, or spirit.
Please pray for our young people who are going to be confirmed this Wednesday. We will be in the Youth Activities Center from 6-8 p.m. Please RSVP to Kristie Cossel if you would like to attend, so that we can provide enough seating.
If you are interested in attending the Renew Family Diocesan Retreat, you will need to register immediately. It will be June 1-3 at Sacramento Camp and Conference Center. Fr. Chuck Collins, originally from here, will be the speaker. Please contact Nancy Griffin at 575-682-1406 for more information.
Blessings in our exalted Lord Jesus,
The Rev. Bill Cobb+
