A WORD FROM THE RECTOR
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

Last Sunday I suggested that we, as a community, seek to dedicate our time in 2018 to the Lord through personal prayer time, regular worship, and observing the seasons of the Church Year. I know that this is challenging, but it is a worthy goal for us all, in order to have a more intimate relationship with God. If you missed the message, or any of those from Christmas, you may access them here.

The vestry and I would like to thank all of you who turned in pledge cards for 2018! We had a wonderful response.

The last two weekends, we have hosted refugees from various countries, who are on their way to relatives or friends in the U.S. The stories that we hear are often tragic, and the refugees are grateful to be hosted by Christians.

On  Monday, January 15th , Diane Tatem will be the guest speaker at Clems and Clementines. Diane will be speaking on contemplative prayer. Clems and Clementines begins with Holy Eucharist @ 10:30 am , the presentation and a pot luck lunch. All are welcome.

On  Friday, January 19th, from  6:30-8:30 p.m. , Jennifer and Stuart Sliva will host our next Holy Chow. Their address is 1204 Calle del Sur. Please RSVP to Linda Gunter at   linda@lindagunter.com

Save the date of  January 28, 2018  for the  Ron & Doris Thomson Tribute luncheon  following the combined  10:00am worship service . Please  RSVP  if you plan to attend.

Also,  our annual   Women’s Retreat is  February 2-4, 2018  at Holy Cross Retreat Center in Mesilla. You may register at church or online at https://churchofstclement.cloverdonations.com/online-donations/

Our annual Congregational Meeting will be February 11, at 10 a.m. Breakfast will be served as we gather to hear our financial report, approve a new budget, and elect new members to our vestry. Please join us in Whyburn Roderick Hall. You do not have to be a voting member to attend.

In our Lord Jesus Christ,

GriefShare 3.0 is at 1:30 PM on Wednesdays, in the conference room at the church and conclude on February 28, 2018. This is an opportunity to begin at the beginning. However, interested parties are reminded that they can join at any time. The important thing is to know one does not need to wait if they are struggling with the emotions of a loss.

GriefShare is a Bible-based Christian walk through this journey. Use of videos, printed materials and sharing allows one to heal at their required pace. The only charge is $15.00 for the workbook, and you do not need to be a member of St. Clement. Attendance is open to one and all. For more information, contact Linda Kaip, 915-539-1265.
