Lost Cleveland
Monday, January 22: 7:00pm - 8:00pm
Explore the rise and the fall and the spirit of a gritty city that clawed its way back featuring more than 200 photos and 65 lost landmarks from the 1800s to today. Author Laura DeMarco will take guests on a visual and oral tour through Cleveland's glorious past and the ghosts that inspire us today. Books will be available for purchase and signing following the program.
Tuesday, January 30: 7:00pm - 8:30pm
Academic scholar, Ted Steinberg of Case Western Reserve University will lead a rich and thoughtful conversation around the topic of eviction and its effect on the community. The purpose of the discussion is to engage both the public and community leaders in a conversation about the impact of housing insecurity on the region and shed light on the work being done by fair housing, veterans affairs, mental health and social services. Conversation will be based on Matthew Desmond's book, Evicted, but it is not mandatory to read the book prior to program.
