City improving payment methods for water bill

When your water bill arrives this week, look for a completely new format. Pell City utility customers will begin receiving their bill in a standard envelope, complete with an envelope to remit payment.

The billing statement will feature all monthly usage information, and it will include a detachable coupon, which should be included in the return envelope. This new billing effort will allow the City to more efficiently process its payments received by mail. The envelopes will be clearly marked with the City logo, and will also be emblazoned with the words "Utility Bill Enclosed" for the initial billing cycles. Customers are asked to remit all payments by mail to the following address:

City of Pell City
Department A
P.O. Box 1545
Pell City, AL 35125

Striving to be more customer friendly, the City has also recently introduced a new online and telephone payment options through its partnership with Paymentus, which allows customers to make their payments instantly. These services are available for a $2.50 convenience fee. The online system may be accessed at www.pell-city.com and telephone payments can be made at 1-844-580-2799. Please have your bill available with your account information.

An increasingly popular payment option for utility payments is the ACH Bank Draft, which enables customers to have their payment automatically deducted from their checking account each month. This is our fastest growing method of payment, and is available free of charge.

Those interested in enrolling in the bank draft option can visit City Hall or email [email protected] for additional information.
Buffalo Wild Wings breaks ground in Pell City

Pell City officials and company representatives broke ground Thursday on Buffalo Wild Wings®, Inc. (NASDAQ: BWLD) for its newest location in Pell City, bringing its mouth-watering wings, wide selection of premium, craft and domestic beers and ultimate sports viewing atmosphere to local residents. Buffalo Wild Wings is the destination for wing fanatics and sports fans alike.

Owners and management are quick to point out that Buffalo Wild Wings is earning a deserved reputation as a family restaurant, offering a family-friendly atmosphere and a diverse menu.

"We are very excited to be bringing the Buffalo Wild Wings experience to Pell City, and we look forward to becoming a part of this dynamic community," said Tim Spencer, Area Director of Southern Wings LLC dba Buffalo Wild Wings.

The Pell City, AL Buffalo Wild Wings features wall-to-wall high-definition, flat-screen TVs for ultimate event and sports viewing. The company's new restaurant design captures the energy of a sports stadium and creates a social and interactive local gathering place.

Its boldly flavored menu includes boneless wings, specialty burgers and sandwiches, finger foods, wraps, salads and Naked Tenders®, but the main attraction continues to be its namesake Buffalo N.Y.-style chicken wings as well as its 21 signature sauces and seasonings.

A variety of limited-time special offerings keeps the menu new and fresh. Buffalo Wild Wings also has two signature events each week: Wing Tuesdays® and Boneless Thursdays®, where guests can order their favorite traditional or boneless wings at a special price. Guests can also take advantage of free Wi-Fi.

Buffalo Wild Wings will be located on Vaughan Lane across from Home Depot and is expected to be completed by mid to late October.

Working with city, county economic development and company officials, developer Bill Ellison successfully recruited the national chain restaurant to Pell City. Company officials cited location fronting Interstate 20, recently approved Sunday alcohol sales and an underserved market for restaurants as deciding factors in their decision. Net Lease Alliance is the owner/developer of the property for the new Buffalo Wild Wings location and was a member of the team that put the project together.
