"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come."
-2 Cor 5:17
Easter is a wonderful time to focus on life new and renewing. It is a time for us to open our eyes to the grace of God around us. For me the children and youth of our church are such a powerful reminder of that.
Yesterday I met St. Aidan's newest member, Nathan Dubois, born on Tuesday. There is nothing like little baby hands and the joy surrounding a new birth as a reminder of the life and hope which springs eternal.
Similarly at our Bunny Brunch I was in awe when I realized that a child who I met before she could talk one a jar of candy by giving the closest guess to how many are inside. She couldn't talk now she can do math!
I am also overwhelmed today to think that our very own Brandon Hoff will be made an eagle scout this Saturday (here at 2 pm, join us please if you like). Watching that boy grow into a young man and now a leader of young men is quite a sight. Seeing how far he has come reminds me of how far God has brought us all in my time here. Where do you see the life of Christ bubbling up this Easter season? What is watering your soul with faith and joy? What do you have the privilege of seeing that people around you often miss?

MESA OUTREACH -
Annual Soup Drive
It's time for our Annual Soup Drive to benefit those in need within our community.
For the past several years, we have been working with MESA Outreach, formerly Houston Northwest Community Center (HNwCC), to help provide support to families in need within the Bear Creek area. On the second and fourth Tuesday of each month, the MESA Outreach food pantry distributes food to over 280 families. Through your generous support, last year we were able to help make that possible with the donation of over 1,000 of hearty soup! Please help us continue this valuable assistance. The collection drive will begin Sunday, April 8 and continue through May. There are collection bags in the Narthex and donations can be placed in the Soup Can.

Come and explore the rhythms of the church year and what it means to be part of a "liturgical church." Unlock the logic behind our calendar which has us step into the stories of the bible each and every year.

These classes are designed for 6th-8th grade students, and take place over 3 years, 2 months each year (one in the Fall semester, and one in the Spring).
