Well, the U.S./Mexican border debate is still on, and it is exciting to watch Trump begin to take action on one of his biggest campaign promises. The accusations of racism continue being hurled at him, and at those who support a secure border wall, and the finances of building it continue to be a hot button.
Earlier today, I read a comment online that suggested that conservatives are hypocrites if we are OK with taxpayer money being used to build the wall, but NOT OK with taxpayer money paying for health insurance. I just had to shake my head, and refrain from jumping into the conversation, because what this person (and many others) can't see is that these are very different issues! Obviously, one has to do with our national security and preservation of our country, and the other has to do with the debate over whether health insurance should be publicly or privately managed.
But, there are some really critical issues that bleeding heart leftists refuse to grasp, and this is what Christopher Harris, Executive Director of Unhyphenated America, is talking about this week.
Harris, who is NOT A RACIST, is in full support of the wall, and is available for interview on the topic of what makes a country... and why the wall is so important.
He says that three things generally define a nation:
#1 - Its PHYSICAL BORDERS
#2 - Its LANGUAGE
#3 - Its CULTURE & LAWS
Now, he has been looking at photos of borders around the world See Photos Here, and says that, in looking, you can see what a difference those three things make. You can see that the strength and security of various international borders varies greatly, based on the threat to each country, on its language, culture, and laws.
For example, much of the border between U.S. and Canada is a simple fence. In some places, it is merely incidental - In the reading room of the Haskell Library, which was deliberately built along the US-Canada border, the international boundary is marked on the floor.
In Baarle-Nassau, a municipality and town in the southern Netherlands, you can clearly see the border between the Netherlands and Belgium, because it is marked on the streets with iron pins, indicating clearly whether each side is in Belgium or in the Netherlands.
You see, in these first two examples, the language, culture and laws are not at risk. But, the border between India and Pakistan can be seen from the International Space Station as a bright orange line. Its illumination comes from the spotlights India placed along it to detect smugglers.
His point is that when a country's language, culture, and laws are being threatened, it is necessary to increase the border to protect them. It is ABOUT TIME that we stepped up our game, and protected our country to the level that is required.

Part of the beauty of America is, these ideals are no respecter of persons. They're not limited to people of a certain race, color, creed, or gender. If you decide to respect, embrace, and protect these simple truths of Natural Law...then congratulations, you're an American. Once you become an American, there is no need to ever add a hyphen, before, or after your Americanness, simply being an American is all the national identity you will ever need for the rest of your life.
