What we're reading: 
If you're making  resolution this New Year, you might start with the regular pledge to exercise or get more sleep. But what about changing to a more positive mindset? This intriguing New York Times article addresses the issue of negative thinking, which we are biologically prone to, and the suggestions they offer to stop it just might surprise you!
 
What we're watching:   
'Pokemon Go,' 'iPhone 7,' 'Donald Trump,' 'Prince,' 'Powerball.' What do these words have in common? They were the most searched google terms of 2016 on a global level. Interested in the video representation? It's just 2 minutes long, extremely touching, and should bring back some memories of the past year!

It's 2017! The start of a new year pushes us to think back on what brought us here, both the good and bad, and also purposefully think forward about how we'd like things to be in the future. Take the time to do it. Think of what was best about 2016 and might be carried forward, and how to shake any negativity that may be sitting in you as you confront the new year. Sometimes, a new beginning is the best way to make a change!
