What we're watching:
It's long, and it's only available until November 6th, but this week it's worth watching National Geographic's new documentary ' Before the Flood.' Leonardo DiCaprio, as the newly appointed United Nations Messenger of Peace on Climate Change, journeys the world to uncover the root causes of the crisis, and to uncover some potential solutions.

What we're reading:
This excerpt from Dr. Martin Seligman's Flourish: A Visionary New Understanding of Happiness and Well-Beingteaches us how to cultivate happiness into the classroom. Greater well-being enhances traditional learning, and also decreases depression and anxiety in children.
Quote we're inspired by:
"As the world becomes increasingly interdependent and fragile, the future at once holds great peril and great promise. To move forward, we must recognize that in the midst of a magnificent diversity of cultures and life forms, we are one human family and one Earth community with a common destiny."

-- Preamble, The Earth Charter
At the Centre we believe we're all changemakers, and we all need to work for a better world. Whether this means fighting for a global cause like mitigation of the effects of climate change, or focusing on something closer to home, like teaching skills for well-being and prosperity to your children or loved ones, never forget that change starts with you! Education plays a key role in  generating change. If you're an educator, and want to learn more about teaching a generation of changemakers, instilling them with 21 st  century skills and the need to be a conscious global citizen, join our next online class - Educating in Changing Times: Reflect, Rethink, Rebuild, starting November 14th.

Have a great day and see you in two weeks for our next Three Thought Thursday!
