The "Christmas Bash" is a delightful morning of Shopping at our Valley Boutique ($1-5 per item) and Special Vendor Tables ($5-up.) Celebrate friendships while decorating cookies and enjoying a cup of coffee. Then, end your morning with a delicious brunch while being inspired by our Guest Speaker. We invite you to take in the sights and sounds of Christmas as we come to His table together.
About our Speaker:
When Jen Green was a little girl she would talk into a hairbrush and interview herself in the mirror. She would also sing the lyrics of all the songs in the musical Annie while jumping on her bed. One of these childhood pastimes led her to a career in radio. The other led her father to confiscating her cassette of Annie.
Jen got her start in radio on a Christian morning show, moved briefly to sports talk radio, then political talk radio, then back to Christian morning radio. She’s been doing mornings at Life 107.1 KNWI for over four years, two of those years as co-host of Taylor and Jen in the Morning. She’s also Life 107.1’s Listener Engagement Director, coordinating events like the Drive Thru Baby Shower and Single Mom’s Morning Out.
Born and raised on the East coast, Jen moved to Iowa twenty-three years ago and knew immediately this was home. She hopes she’s lived here long enough to be considered an “Iowan.” She’s been married to Scott (a Waukee native) for 19 years, is mom to 16 year old Piper and 14 year old Benjamin. She is owned by two cats, Trooper the black lab and Bagel the beagle.

MOMSnext IS COMING THIS FALL TO VALLEY CHURCH

MOMSnext is a group specifically for Moms of school aged children (K-12 th grade). We will meet twice a month on Friday mornings from 9:30-11:30 at Valley Church. Our hope is that this group will provide opportunities for moms in similar stages of life to connect and grow in their faith, friendships, marriages, and child raising through fellowship, speakers, and community events/activities.
