Privacy Fence Project Work Day

Hello, my name is Tanner Clemons and I am a Life scout from Troop 58 working on my Eagle service project for St. Thomas. This is my final requirement for the rank of Eagle, which is the highest honor attainable in scouting. The church proposed that I build a 300 foot long privacy fence along the backside of the church between where the playground and back property meet.
On
Saturday, August 19th
I plan on screwing on the 984 pickets to the fence, and cutting the tops off of the last half of the fence posts from 9am - 5pm. If you can come, please bring a cordless power drill and work gloves.
I will provide lunch and water for the workers.

St. Thomas Golf Group

The next outing for the St. Thomas Golfers is scheduled for Saturday, August 12 at the Tapatio Springs Golf Course. The tee time is scheduled at 10:00 AM (shot gun) and the cost is $65(includes green fee, cart, and range balls).

Reminder about Santa Fe Backpacks
Just a Reminder about the Backpack Drive:
Some of our backpacks for Santa Fe Mission Church have not been returned yet to St. Thomas and
they need to be delivered to Santa Fe as soon as possible.
If you agreed to sponsor a backpack and took a tag home, please bring it to the church office with tag attached this week so the children of Santa Fe can have a good start to the New School Year!
As always, we truly appreciate the generous and giving spirit of our wonderful parishioners at St. Thomas!

Habitat for Humanity Home Build
Mark Your Calendars for September 8 and 9 and 15 and 16. We are raising the walls on the first two weekends of the Fall Build. These 4 days belong to St. Thomas. We are responsible for lunches and all the workers. Volunteers must be over the age of 14. (I know it's likely to be HOT, but we can do this.) The new community is in the Lenwood Heights neighborhood at 227 S. Acme Road.
We are using "Sign Up Genius" to make it easy to volunteer. Just follow the link above and the instructions.
