Men's Meat Burning
Thursday, February 16, at 6:30pm. Hosted by Rodney Gillespie.

February is San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo time and that is our theme for Men's Meat Burning on Thursday, February 16, 6:30 pm -- with Rodney Gillespie hosting.

Willie Nelson will be performing at the Rodeo on this date. But, if you're not planning to see Willie, then join us at Rodney's. Wear your cowboy shirts, hats, boots and spurs!. Prizes for best cowboy getup -- Dallas Cowboy jerseys do not count. Rodney requires that you check your guns at the door. It's worth parting with your guns for this event as Rodney's special beans are outstanding.

Souper Bowl Success!!

Thank you to St. Thomas for stepping up to donate 550 non-perishable items for the Good Samaritan Community Services in our Souper Bowl Drive to "Tackle Hunger" in San Antonio. The food was blessed at the alter and will bless many people in need in San Antonio this week. So thank you to our parish for your donations!


Thanks goes out to our St. Thomas Youth Ministry!



St. Thomas wants to thank to our students for the spirit-filled Youth Sunday Service last week. Elizabeth Koroscik gave a powerful message, Ben Wyndham did a great job organizing the music and we thank all the musicians, readers, greeters and ushers for your help. It was a blessing to us all. Blood Drive
Sunday, February 19, is our next St. Thomas blood drive! Your donations help save lives here in San Antonio! 

Our next Blood Drive is Sunday, February 19, from 8:30am to Noon! They are sending two mobile units to help keep wait lines short. Please make sure everyone has a chance to donate by signing up ahead for a time-slot!

The children in our first communion class will be celebrating their first communion this Sunday!

Sunday, February 26! Come worship with our Episcopal School families at our 10:30 service!!

Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper
Shrove Tuesday, February 28! Supper from 6pm-8pm. Come early for the freshest cakes! 


The Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper, supporting our 2017 youth missions, will be on Tuesday, February 28, from 6pm-8pm in Parish Hall. Cost: $6 per plate. We'd like to get pre-orders by February 19, so we have an idea of how much food to plan for.

Ash Wednesday Services
Save the date for Ash Wednesday, March 1st. 
We will have three services for the Imposition of Ashes.


Ash Wednesday services mark the beginning of Lent. They will be on Wednesday, March 1st.  Come for the Imposition of Ashes: the services times are 7:00am, 12-noon and 7:00pm. 


Baptism Preparation Class
Saturday, March 4, from 9pm to Noon



New addition to your family who needs to be baptized at St. Thomas? Our next Baptismal Preparation Class is on Saturday, March 4, from 9am to 12-noon, to discuss the sacrament of baptism. (Parents, if you have previously attended a class, you do not need to repeat the class to have your new infant baptized).

L e nten Morning Prayer Services
Tuesdays & Thursdays at 8:30am, beginning in Lent (March 1 - April 13)

Join us in morning prayer as part of your Lenten discipline.  During Lent (March 1 - April 13), we will have two Morning Prayer services in the Chapel each week on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8:30 am. We use the Morning Prayer service from the Book of Common Prayer, and all are welcome.
