Privacy Fence Project Work Day
Saturday, August 19, is the next Privacy Fence Work Day. See below for details.

Hello, my name is Tanner Clemons and I am a Life scout from Troop 58 working on my Eagle service project for St. Thomas.  This is my final requirement for the rank of Eagle, which is the highest honor attainable in scouting. The church proposed that I build a 300 foot long privacy fence along the backside of the church between where the playground and back property meet.

On Saturday, August 19 th I plan on screwing on the 984 pickets to the fence, and cutting the tops off of the last half of the fence posts from 9am - 5pm. If you can come, please bring a cordless power drill and work gloves. I will provide lunch and water for the workers.

If you would like to be a part of this project, you can email me at tanner.clemons@swbell.net or call me on my home phone at (210) 496 - 3834, and I can give you more information. Thank you so much for all of the donations and support I have received.

St. Thomas Building Team Update
Building Update: August 2017

Our civil engineer completed a land survey of our entire property including the lot behind the office building.  We received good news in that the new building will only be 3 feet lower than the education building.  A tree survey was completed to identify and measure all trees on the property. We will preserve almost all of our trees.  The area of the pumpkin patch and former labyrinth has been cleared of rocks in anticipation of moving the existing athletic field.  Our geotechnical engineers took soil samples down to 20 feet deep at the new building and parking lot areas.  The results were very favorable.  In talking with our architect, we determined that building a shell of a second story for future expansion was not needed or within our current plan.  Other than the new great hall/gym, everything else will be one story.  That requires some adjusting of the roof and air conditioning/mechanical systems design. Stay tuned for more information!
