NEW Order of Service Leaflets for Summer!!
Look for these summer Worship Leaflets in the pews, beginning this Sunday!
Are you new to St. Thomas? Would you like to learn more about our parish?
Starting THIS SUNDAY, June 18, we will be using a worship booklet that will be left in the pews. Our desire is to be good stewards of our resources. Each week you will be handed the Propers for the day so you may enjoy the readings. You are free to use the Prayer Book if you prefer.

Thank you St. Thomas! VBS 2017 was awesome!
Our thanks to our St. Thomas Volunteers and Parishioners who donated their resources, time and talents to this year's VBS program!! We appreciate you so much!!
Thank you to all of those who volunteered, brought supplies, gave money and prayed for our Vacation Bible School this year. There was no question that God's hand was upon us and we were blessed by all the activity that went on last week.
As well, I am so grateful for, and proud of our teen volunteers ... this work could NEVER be done without you! The adult volunteers, well there are no words to express my love for you and all you do. "Well done GOOD and FAITHFUL servants!"
Most precious of all were the children who had a fantastic week. They were happy and continued to grow in the knowledge and the love of our Savior. You all have helped to show God's love to them through your generous spirit.

St. Thomas Privacy Fence
An Eagle Scout project by Tanner Clemons
Hello, my name is Tanner Clemons and I am a Life scout from Troop 58 working on my Eagle service project for St. Thomas. This is my final requirement for the rank of Eagle, which is the highest honor attainable in scouting.
The church proposed that I build a 300 foot long privacy fence along the backside of the church between where the playground and back property meet. I plan on clearing the land on June 10th and digging the 39 post holes on the 24th, so this is a great opportunity for teens looking for service hours.

DWTX Habitat Open Offering
in honor of Father's Day
Sunday, June 18: Father's Day
The Diocese of West Texas invites us to consider a special Father's Day offering for the Habitat for Humanity fund. The Habitat Builders for West Texas, with the help of the diocesan family, have completed two homes in 2017. Both will be dedicated on Saturday, June 10, one in San Antonio, and the other in Kerrville. You can find the details of the dedications at

Our hope is for the entire diocese to build the next Habitat home over the next two years. We need to start raising money right now to make that happen. Consider honoring fathers and the special men in your lives with a gift to the fund. Find the form for Father's Day offerings in our bulletin this week (Father's Day).

Church & School Closed for Independence Day!
Monday, July 3 & Tuesday, July 4!
Our church and school offices will be closed on Monday, July 3 and Tuesday, July 4, in honor of our nation's Independence Day! We hope everyone has a fun and safe Fourth of July weekend! Our offices will resume normal summer business hours from 9am to 4pm on Wednesday, July 5! In case of an emergency during this time, please contact the priests by email.

St. Thomas Blood Drive
Sign-up online early to pick your donation time! Our next Blood Drive will be Sunday, July 9 with donations taken during all 3 services!
Our next Blood Drive is Sunday, July 9, from 8:30am to noon!
Donations are down in the summertime and the Blood Bank has impressed upon us
the dire need for donations
so they won't have to ship in blood to cover the needs of medical emergencies.
Because of how they use blood here in San Antonio, they say just one blood donation can actually
save the lives of four people!!
Do something amazing for a suffering family this summer! Youth can donate too with parental consent!

Save the Date! Our Parish Ice Cream Social in July!!
Sunday, July 23, following the services at 9:15 and 10:30.
Join us for a true taste of summer on Sunday, July 23!
We hope you'll stay to share delicious ice cream and fellowship together with us after the 9:15 and the 10:30 services. We'll provide all the ice cream and toppings needed to make your choice of an ice cream cone, ice cream sundae or banana split! This event is a great opportunity to meet and greet your Vestry members who will be serving this fun and 'cool' event!
