Bible In Life
Appreciating Creation | Genesis 1
When, in Genesis 1:31 it says that all God made was very good, it confirms the perfection of God as well as the perfection of His original creation. We will discuss how the world is beautiful, how to show appreciation for God's creation and how we can care for this wonderful creation in their daily lives

The Lord of the Rings:
You Will Not Surely Die | Genesis 3
We are continuing our The Lord of the Rings discussions around how we attempt to diminish the impact of sin in the world and our lives. We will compare this with the story of the serpent in the garden.
Every Sunday, intercessors at the Mary Corner await those who desire anointing. After receiving the Sacrament of Holy Communion, if you desire healing prayers for yourself or for a loved one, make your request known to a healing minister in the Mary Corner (near the entrance to the church.) Your request is kept confidential unless you indicate that it needn't be.

From the Rector
You don't go to prayer saying,
'Come on, tell me something. Show me something.' You go and you say,
'Alright, this time is yours. I'm going to try and clear my mind and let you be you for a bit.' And I hope that when I get up from that, some balance will have shifted, the tectonic plates will have moved slightly. My judgment, my perception will be that little bit less selfish, that little bit less stupid, than when I started.
That's part of what one hopes for in terms of guidance in prayer. Just calm down. Sit. Look. Listen. Try to get your own preoccupations and your own anxieties silenced for a bit. And then, perhaps, when you get up, the plates will have shifted. Welcome to St Stephen's.
See you in church!
The flowers at the altar are given by

A Taste of Guided Imagery & Music as a spiritual pathway
9a - 12p
Our church community is welcoming Sr Joan King, OP, on Saturday, September 29, 9 am-12 pm and her training, a "Taste of Guided Imagery & Music." Sr Joan is a Dominican nun and has been an important person in Molly Arthur's life for more than 15 years of spiritual support and growth. She has developed a practice for participants and will offer this training, a Taste of Guided Imagery & Music to St Stephen's parishioners and the community.
Guided Imagery & Music is a process of listening to classical music in a relaxed state, a state like a waking dream experience that allows images, symbols and deep feelings to rise up from the unconscious. In this process, the music becomes a catalyst that invites one to take a long, loving, look within, and to walk inner pathways, deepening our experience of God.
Please reserve your spot with Molly Arthur:
