How to Save NVR Disk Space
If you are running out of space on your Network Video Recorder or just want to get more storage capacity out of your existing drive(s) there are a number of ways to optimize the video footage being captured so that video file sizes are reduced. One way that is often overlooked is a technique called Masking. Included in many Video Management Software Products, the Masking feature allows you to crop out sections of the video image that are unimportant to the subject area (I.e. sky, ground, etc) allowing for the capture
of only the needed viewing area, and thereby reducing the amount of data captured and improving storage space.

TO HOLD PARKING CONFERENCE
at the National Constitution Center - SIGN UP NOW!
Our Parking Conference will be held at the National Constitution Center again this year on May 17th. During this year's conference, industry experts will be discussing internal and external threats that affect today's parking operations. Threats that impact your customers, property and money will be presented and corrective actions that include audit process, procedures and better use of today's technologies will be discussed.
A lunch buffet will be served to our guests from 11:30 to 12:30. Presentations will follow starting at 12:30pm. The afternoon will end with a cocktail hour at 4:30pm.

"ACCESS" FROM ANYWHERE!
Access Control System manufacturers are
making it easier to manage your access control

Managing your businesses access control system has become much more flexible and less costly due to the advent of integration with mobile devices. Mobile devices, the likes of Notebook Computers and Smartphones are changing how we interact with just about everything in our world on a daily basis. We've recently completed installation of an access control system at the ACTS affiliated Heron Point Community in Chestertown Md.
Also, security system upgrades and expansion work were completed at ACTS Indian River Estates in Vero Beach Fl. to accommodate new construction at the community. This work included upgrades in parking security as well as video surveillance systems.
Bimbo Bakeries USA selected Time and Parking Controls for Access Control Systems consulting and installation services at their Stroehmann Bakeries location in Williamsport, PA. Bimbo is the nation's largest baking company with a vision for being the world's best by 2015.
The primary goals for this project were to expand and update existing access controls systems with focus on improved security, monitoring and management of ingredient storage areas. A LENEL OnGuard access control system was selected for the project for its reliability, robust reporting engines, and versatile/open system architecture. The OnGuard system will manage all external access points and several key internal doors throughout the bakery, ensuring only authorized access to restricted and controlled areas. The OnGuard system along with a variety of locking and monitoring hardware devices will provide Bimbo with a solution that is built to protect the quality and safety of their food products.
