Question:  My home was flooded with the recent storm that hit Pensacola.  I am working though a lot of cleanup and am now ready to replace my windows and several things around my home.  Do you recommend putting in windows before the new sheetrock is installed? - A. Greene

Over 450 votes were counted in the Majors Helps Home Improvement contest, but one family clearly stood out. The "Self-Sacrificing" family, also known as Carolyn Butler and Debbie Lewis, Milton, were selected as the winners of the 2014 Home Repair project.  Majors Home Improvement, in partnership with United Way of Santa Rosa County, launched its 2014 community initiative, Majors Helps in March, inviting residents to advocate for others by submitting stories for a family in need. United Way and Majors narrowed the applications down to three families who were posted on Facebook for the community to vote. Plans are currently underway and a project date will be announced soon.  The community can follow this family's project transformation at United Way Santa Rosa County or Majors.

This home will benefit from needed improvements which will provide a safer and more energy efficient home.
