Gloria Hardy Timmons has dabbled in acrylics and oils off and on for years not taking herself seriously until recent retirement from a counseling practice offered her the opportunity to focus on her burning desire to "see where this will take me". Heralding from Lake City, South Carolina, home to Artfields, and spending summers at the coast, she has been inspired by local scenery which "when you live and breathe it, you've just got to paint it"! She is a member of Seacoast Artists Guild of South Carolina, Burroughs and Chapin Art Museum in Myrtle Beach, SC, and has shown her work at Island Art Gallery in Pawleys Island, SC.
