Hello again,  

 

We are happy to announce two new shows added to our schedule.  
 
First, The Hackensaw Boys will play our FREE outdoor show on Final Friday, July 27 at 7:30pm. With feet firmly planted in the old-time song tradition, hands soiled by the dirt of rock n' roll and eyes fixed steadily on the future of real country music, the Hackensaw Boys are among the most exciting groups charting new territory in today's diverse Americana music scene.
 
Second, 2012 Grammy Award winners from Mali, Tinariwen will play Stuart's on Thursday, October 25 at 8:00pm.  This show is a partnership with Ohio University African Studies and Ohio University Performing Arts Series. Tickets are on sale starting tomorrow, Tuesday, June 19 at 10:00am for members of Stuart's and open to the public this Friday, June 22 at 10:00am.  Don't miss this incredible show.

FREE SUMMER CONCERT SERIES
This year, our FREE outdoor concerts will take place on last Friday of each month, June - September. And they now take place the same nights as Nelsonville's Final Fridays on the Square! Be sure to stop down for FREE music outside and brand new art openings around the square, street vendors, Nelsonville Farmers Market, and more.

 

We will kick the summer series on Friday, June 29 with a visit from The Stooges Brass Band who come all the way from New Orleans, Louisiana!

 

July 27:   The Hackensaw Boys
August 31:  The Spikedrivers
September 28:  TBA

 

Lucinda Williams and her band Buick 6 will play Stuart's Opera House on Thursday, July 26 at 8:00pm. This is Lucinda's third trip to Stuart's, but her first time with her band.  This show will sell out. Tickets are ON SALE NOW!

The legendary Red Clay Ramblers will play Stuart's Opera House on Friday, September 21 at 8:00pm. Now in their 40th year, the Tony Award-winning Red Clay Ramblers are a North Carolina string band whose repertoire reflects their roots in old-time mountain music, as well as  bluegrass, country, rock, New Orleans jazz, gospel, and the American musical.

Tickets are going fast for Arlo Guthrie at Stuart's Opera House on Thursday, October 18, 2012. Don't miss this rare chance to catch Arlo in the intimate Stuart's Opera House.  Order here, before they are all gone.

Kroger donates 5% of everything you spend to Stuart's Opera House if you have selected Stuart's Opera House as your donor organization in their Community Rewards program. So you can support Stuart's Opera House just buy buying your groceries! Stuart's currently receives over $7,500 per year as a result of this program.  This is a great and significant income source for Stuart's.   

  

And don't forget that each quarter we pick a random winner from our Kroger Community Rewards list to win 2 FREE TICKETS to a Stuart's Opera House show!

 One easy and significant way to support Stuart's Opera House is by registering your Kroger Plus Cart!  As some of you know, Kroger donates 5% of the amount you spend to the charity of your choice (Stuart's Opera House) and it costs you NOTHING. Last year we received over $9,000 from Kroger because you directed your 5% to us.  All you have to do is register your Kroger Plus card with Stuart's (see below).  It's simple and takes just a few minutes.

Out of town friends:  It now seems that you can register with Stuart's even if you don't live in Southeast Ohio.  If you tried in the past, please try again as the program has changed slightly.

How to connect your Kroger Plus Card to Stuart's:  

Be sure to have your Kroger Plus card handy and register your card with Stuart's Opera House after you sign up. (If you not yet have a Kroger Plus card, they are available at the customer service desk at any Kroger.   

1. Register with Kroger Community Rewards by clicking here.

2. Most of you will be new online customers.  Click sign up today and follow the instructions.

3. Once you register your email address, you will receive a message in your email inbox.  Follow the link within the body of this email.  You are almost finished!

4. Click on My Account and use your email address and (newly established) password to proceed to the next step.

5. Click on Edit Kroger Community Rewards information and input your Kroger Plus card number.

6. Update or confirm your information.

7. Enter name of organization (Stuart's Opera House) or select organization from list and click on confirm.

 YOU DID IT!!  THANK YOU!

REMEMBER, purchases will not count for Stuart's Opera House until after you register you card(s).

If you use your phone number at the register?  Call 877-576-7587 to get your Kroger Plus card number.

Members must swipe their registered Kroger Plus card or use the phone number that is related to their registered Kroger Plus card when shopping for each purchase to count.
