In the spring I have counted one hundred and thirty-six different kinds of weather inside of four and twenty hours.

Brrrr... Welcome to May! The good news is that this spring weather can only get better, right? We are keeping one eye on the weather, and the other on our orders for hanging baskets, veggies and annuals (which are starting to arrive this week). Please remember to protect your tender plants as the nights are still quite cool with frost.

What a wonderful time of year and everyone is eager to get outside and get busy! We have events ready to get you in the mood. Be sure to join us for our Fairy Garden Workshop this Sunday at 1:00pm (please call 519-941-5081 to register).

Come and celebrate spring on Mother's Day weekend at our Blossom and Blooms Festival. We are thrilled to welcome Carol Pasternak (aka The Monarch Crusader) to speak on Saturday, May 13 at 11:00am.
Imagine having a garden teeming with the most beautiful butterflies.  Monarch butterfly expert Carol Pasternak will share what to plant in order to attract the most butterflies, and other components for the perfect butterfly garden. (No charge, please register to save your seat). We have already seen our first monarch butterfly for the season in our greenhouse!!

Tiny Gardening
Short on space? No problem!

Creating a container garden is the perfect way to get your hands dirty. Container gardening comes to the rescue with interesting and clever containers such as tea cups, cake stands, trays, mason jars...anything really.

The container is part of the plant arrangement, one balances the other
- choose the proper size, shape, style and material
- select the style that will complement the surroundings

Find the one that will be the base for your tiny garden at Dufferin Garden Centre
