Ever want to run for public office?
Contra Costa Elections' Division hosts  candidate training
workshop
Elections are the core of our democracy. Being a good candidate for an elected seat takes time, effort, and knowledge.

If you're thinking of running for public office, you may be interested in a Candidate Workshop on May 12, organized by the County's Elections' Division.

The workshop is open to anyone interested the Contra Costa County candidate and election process. You'll learn about candidate filing, financial disclosure requirements and working with the press, among other things. You'll also hear from past elected officials.

I encourage anyone who is considering or curious about campaigning for public office to attend.

WHAT: Candidate Workshop

WHEN: Saturday, May 12 - 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

WHERE: Pacheco Community Center, 5800 Pacheco Blvd, Pacheco

WHO: Contra Costa County residents

FOR MORE: 925-335-7800

If you can't make it, the Elections' website also had good web information for potential candidates.

Sincerely,
John
