Today is National Summer Learning Day, July 12th! This day is a great opportunity to bring awareness to the importance of summer childcare. National Summer Learning Day is sponsored by the National Summer Learning Association, a non-profit that works to close the achievement gap through summer learning. NSLD aims to elevate the importance of keeping kids learning, safe and healthy in the summer, as well as ensuring they return to school in the fall ready to succeed.

This year, 130 cities from 30 states will be participating in National Summer Learning Day. These events will serve over 500,000 children across the country. There are over 400 events to choose from, several of which are in New Jersey.
