Spring is a busy time of year, and we have so much to share! From the recent Spring Musical to our upcoming annual Booster Club Golf Tournament & Raffle to all of the great things are students are doing in the classroom and on the athletic field, be sure to read this week's Hornets in Action!
Congratulations to seniors Adam Chalmers and Madelaine Kinnebrew who were selected as 2018 Golden Eagle award winners in the categories of journalism and foreign language by The Telegraph. Adam and Madelaine were chosen among 184 students from 22 schools representing seven middle Georgia counties in the Telegraph's 41st annual Golden Eagle Awards. Bye Bye Birdie ...Westfield Spring Musical 2018

Perry Players' The Wizard of Oz
If you missed the Perry Players' production of The Wizard of Oz, you missed three of Westfield’s thespians! Ty Neiderkorn, Jonathan Rogers, and Gracie Hughes were phenomenal as a Munchkin, the Mayor of Munchkinland, and (the star of the show) Dorothy, respectively. Third Graders Host "Market Day" for Lower School
Our Lower School students enjoyed shopping with their "Buzz Bucks" at Third Grade's Market Day 2018! Special thanks to all of our third graders for their hard work in creating and producing so many great items, all out of recyclable materials, for our students to purchase, and to our parent volunteers for face painting and refreshments! Market Day is an interactive, hands-on project for third grade students to apply the knowledge they have learned from studying basic economics in social studies along with art and math. #westfieldthirdgrademarketday2018
Fifth Grade Goes to STARBASE Camp
Our fifth graders are having a great week at the Museum of Aviation Robins AFB, Warner Robins, GA s STARBASE Camp! They are studying engineering, geometry, nanotechnology, and physics through this week long camp. Westfield Senior Recognized by Bassmaster All American

Congratulations to Westfield senior John Garrett Pearson who has been named as an Honorable M ention in the 2018 Bassmaster High School All-American All-American program for the state of Georgia. The students were selected for the honor based on their success in bass tournament competition, academic achievement and leadership in conservation and community service. #westfieldproud

Congratulations, Varsity Baseball and Varsity Golf!

Congratulations to our varsity baseball and golf teams upon winning 2018 GISA 4AAA region championships! Baseball clinched region with a win over Gatewood, while the golf team won by two strokes to capture their region title. Varsity golfers Beck Beckham and Ben Lewis' scores earned All Region honors, and Coach Chris Kinnas received the 4AAA Coach of the Year award.

The baseball team will finish the regular season with home games Friday, April 20th vs Westminster and Tuesday, April 24th vs Deerfield, followed by an away game on Monday, April 30th before beginning the first round of the state playoffs on Friday, May 4th. The varsity golf team finishes their regular season today with an away match at Deerfield and will compete in the GISA AAA state golf tournament on Monday, April 23rd at Sapelo Hammock golf course in Darien. Girls' Soccer Teams Enjoying a Season of Success!

Our Middle School and varsity girls' soccer teams are having great seasons! Most recently, the Middle School girls team battled back in a 0-4 game to tie Tiftarea 4-4. The varsity girls' enjoyed a 3-0 win over Tiftarea following a tough effort in a close contest against region rival Westminster Schools. Come out and support these girls at their final home games on Monday, April 30th vs Southland! Congratulations to both teams and coaches Michelle Smith and Liana Walton!


Don't miss this year's Booster Club Golf Tournament and Raffle on Friday, April 27th at Houston Lake Country Club! All proceeds from the tournament and raffle help provide funding and support for Westfield's entire athletic program. Click here for the tournament brochure!

The four-person scramble golf tournament begins with a 1 p.m. shotgun start with awards following. A hole-in-one prize includes a 2018 GMC Sierra sponsored by Way Brothers in Hawkinsville. Hole sponsorship opportunities are available.

If you are not a golfer, you can still join in on the fun and support the Booster Club by purchasing a raffle ticket and coming to the regressive drawing which begins at 6:30 p.m. at Houston Lake! Enjoy a buffet dinner and find out if your name is called for the $8,000 grand prize!
