May 18, 2018
  Greetings!
The countdown is here...only one more week until the end of the 2017-18 school year! Thank you for your tremendous support this year and for entrusting Westfield for your child's education. Over the next several days, we will celebrate the hard work and academic success of 43 members of the Class of 2018 and wish them success as they begin college. Our kindergarten students will wear their caps and gowns to present a graduation program and receive their diplomas. Fifth graders will prepare to "cross the quad," as they soon will become middle school Hornets. Pre-K students will kick off summer with their "Super Summer Send Off" on Tuesday, May 22nd! This is such a special time in the lives of our students, and we are grateful for God's blessings upon our school, faculty and staff, students, and families.
Congratulations to the Classes of 2018 and 2030!
Graduation day is almost here! Our seniors will participate in our baccalaureate service tonight, May 17th, and commencement exercises tomorrow night, May 18th, at 6 p.m. in the gymnatorium. On Thursday, May 23rd, our kindergarten students will present their graduation program and receive their diplomas. This is such a special time of year filled with many Westfield traditions! Thank You for Supporting the Annual Fund!
Thank you to our wonderful donors who supported this year’s Annual Fund! Because of your generous support, our entire faculty attended this year's GISA Annual Conference, and we were able to host child psychologist, Dr. John Rosemond, for a series of parenting seminars. Several projects funded by the Annual Fund dollars are scheduled to be completed this summer including new computers for teachers, upgrades to our Wi-Fi, and enhancements to the Middle School Commons area. If you have not yet contributed to the Annual Fund, please consider making a donation by June 30th . We appreciate your support! #westfieldannualfund
Hands-On Learning about Energy

Third graders in Mrs. Lisa New’s science classes are learning about potential and kinetic energy and the transfer of energy! The hands-on lab activity included planning and making a working marble maze. They also learned about Newton's laws of motion.  #handsonlearning   #westfieldscience

Congratulations to senior Robbie Luzzi who was selected to represent Westfield as the Scholar/Citizen/Athlete of the Year at the National Football Foundation/College Football Hall of Fame Awards Dinner held in Macon last night. He has played varsity football and varsity basketball at Westfield all four years of high school. Robbie attended the awards banquet with head football coach Jamey Watson. The awards were presented by Coach Mike Cavan, Director of Football Operations at the University of Georgia. Congratulations, Robbie!  #westfieldfootball   #westfieldproud
