Upper School Students at Duke University 

Summer College Application  – A four-week, credit-bearing program for US students currently in 10 th  or 11 th  grade in which they take undergraduate-level courses.
 
Summer Academy Application  – A three-week program for students currently in 9 th  – 12 th  grade in which they take a certificate course.
 
Intensive STEM Academy Application  – A one-week, STEM-based program for students currently in 9 th  – 12 th  grade that consists of a variety of laboratory tours, faculty lectures, and workshops.

Great Finish to the Season for Clay Target Shooting

Congratulations to our JV and varsity clay target shooting teams on a great season! The Westfield JV place 4th out of 14 schools in the GISA State meet in Savannah. James Hays placed 8th (out of 59 shooters) overall in the JV meet. Cole Miller finished 11th (out of 59 shooters) in JV. Competing as an intersquad within the Westfield team, James Hays placed 1st, hitting 157 out of 200 - 79 percent clay targets hit; Cole Miller hit 153 out of 200 - 77 percent; and Levi Crook hit 137 out of 200 - 69 percent.

Within the varsity team in intersquad competition, Cole Miller placed 1st with 239 out of 300 - 80 percent clay targets hit; Drake Jones placed 2nd with 206 out of 300 - 69 percent; and Jacob Nelson hit 190 out of 300 - 63 percent. Cole Miller placed 63rd as one of only four JV shooters competing at the varsity level against 178 shooters from 20 interscholastic GISA Schools. #westfieldproud

Hornet Wrestling Team!
Congratulations to the Middle School wrestling team for their performance at the Southland tournament. First place finishers were Coe Leavengood, Cole Williams, and Daniel Sapp. Second place finishers were Dillon Partain, Dean Massey, and Luke Caulley. Hornet wrestlers (JV
and varsity) will be in action tomorrow and Saturday, December 8 & 9, as Westfield hosts the annual Odoban Invitational tournament. #westfieldwrestling

Boys' Basketball Off
to a Great Start!

Our Middle School boys basketball team is off to a great start this season! They will play tonight at home vs FPD, and Saturday morning at Stratford. Please note that their game originally scheduled for Monday, December 11th has been postponed due to exams.

Registration is now open for the Lower School Instructional Basketball Program! The program will teach the fundamentals of basketball (dribbling, passing, shooting, and defense) in an instructional setting for students in grades Kindergarten - 5th. The program will be held on five Saturdays from 9 am until 11 am (December 16, January 6 & 20, February 3 & 10). The cost is $25 per student (includes all five sessions and a t-shirt). The deadline to register is Friday, December 8th. #westfieldbasketball
