Dr. John Rosemond at Westfield November 7 & 9...
Tickets Now Available!
Westfield is pleased to offer two parenting sessions , "Parenting with Love & Leadership" geared to parents of young children up to age 11 and "Parenting the Teenager" geared to parents of children ages 12 to 18!
Dr. Rosemond is one of America’s most well-known and respected parenting experts. His nationally-syndicated newspaper column, one of the longest-running lifestyle columns in the industry (since 1976), is carried in more than 200 newspapers nationwide. He is a family psychologist, the author of 18 best-selling books on parenting and family issues, and a very busy public speaker. His resume states that his "real qualifications" are that he’s been married to Willie for 45 years, is the father of two 40-something year old children, and is grandfather to seven ranging in age from six to 18.
To help us plan for and ensure adequate seating, all attendees must purchase a ticket to attend the event. Tickets are on sale for $5 each (cash only) in the Administration building to current Westfield families only. Ticket sales will be open to the public beginning Monday, October 30th. Because the sessions are geared to parents and not children, Westfield will provide free childcare to current Westfield families only. If you should need childcare, we ask that you make a reservation for your child(ren) at the time you purchase a ticket.
READY, SET, GIVE!
The 2017-2018 Annual Fund kick off drive is in full swing!
The Westfield Annual Fund drive is off to an amazing start, but everyone's support is needed to reach our dollar and participation goals! Donations received at the kickoff pep rally totaled $30,915! If you have not yet given, please consider making a donation. To give to the Annual Fund, simply send a donation in an Annual Fund envelope to school with your childt, drop it off at the Administration building, mail it to Westfield, or donate online via PayPal by clicking here . If you have misplaced your Annual Fund envelope, your child's homeroom teacher has extras! Remember, if a grade reaches 75% parent participation by November 3rd, they will receive a pizza party. If we reach 75% parent participation school-wide by November 3rd, everyone will receive a school holiday in the spring! Donations to this year's Annual Fund campaign will benefit technology, facility improvements, teacher professional development, and parent programs. Click here or on the photo above to watch and find out more about this year's Annual Fund!
Open House for Prospective Families
on October 29th

Do you know of a family who may be interested in the Westfield experience for their child? Please tell them about our Admission Open House on Sunday, October 29th! Open House is a great way for interested families to discover Westfield and gain insight on our mission -- college prep education in a Christian environment. We ask that you especially spread the word to families with Pre-K and Kindergarten age children as those grades fill up fast! Also, there are several grades in our Lower and Middle School that are at near capacity, so the sooner families can apply to Westfield the better! Families may pre-register online for the Open House by clicking here or on the ad below. #discoverwestfield
Third Grade Science Studies Plant Life
Our third grade studentsare learning first-hand about the life cycle of plants by growing their very own sunflower garden from seeds. To complete their science unit on plant life, the students enjoyed discovering many kinds of plants (and butterflies!) on a field trip this week to Callaway Gardens. #educationofmindandheart #hornetsinaction
One-Act Play Community Performance:
November 3 and 4
Don't miss this year's performance of Westfield's competition one-act show #Viral by Maria McConville on Friday and Saturday, November 3rd and 4th in the Recital Hall. Show times are 7:30 p.m. with the house opening at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $5 for adults and non-Westfield students.
The play addresses the serious and timely issue of school bullying, both physical and internet driven. A group of young women play a prank on a fellow student, but the prank goes horribly wrong. The motivations and consequences of such an act are brought clearly to light. Although the play contains no physical violence or strong language, it is not recommended for small children.
The play stars veteran Westfield performers LeeAnna Allen, Laura Liz Bryan, Gracie Johnson, Sophie McEntee, and Lucy Swearingen, plus freshman Lauren Black in the lead roles. Additional characters are played by Marla Barragan, Charles Cartwright, Luke Hartley, Madelaine Kinnebrew, Eva Catherine Parnell, Carley Schwelling, Nate Sizemore, and Emily West. The play is directed by Mrs. Kathy Stubbs, Upper School English and Drama teacher. The students will compete at GISA region on November 8th at Augusta Preparatory School. #westfieldoneact #westfieldfinearts
