Middle School Students Learn and Explore

Outside the Classroom

This week, our sixth graders are having a blast at the U.S Space and Rocket Camp in Huntsville, Alabama, while our eighth graders are seeing history first hand in our Nation's Capital and our seventh graders are enjoying a day at the Rock Ranch. Learning outside the classroom through field trips is an excellent opportunity for our students to discover and explore, as well as develop independence and self-confidence. It's also a great time for students to build relationships with classmates and have fun!

Eighth Graders Study American Music and History

Eighth grade students in Mrs. Lauren Mann’s chorus class studied American music in the early 20th century, coinciding with the focus of their U.S. history class with Mr. Rhett Farmer. The students completed a project where they researched, wrote narration, compiled pictures, and recorded their own singing, ultimately producing a video to be shown in all eighth grade U.S. history classes. Second Grade Pen Pals Spread the

Message of God's Love

Our second graders in Mrs. Shannon Reber's class are sharing the message of God’s love by sending letters to their pen pals in second grade at an elementary school in Hawaii. They drew pictures and wrote messages such as “God loves you” and “God has chosen you to be his cherished treasure.” What a wonderful way for children to spread God’s word to other parts of the country! #educationofmindandheart #growinginfaith #Christianenvironment

Our eighth grade technology class wrote and published short stories that they shared by reading to our first graders. One of the blessings of a Pre-K to 12 campus is having unique opportunities for students to collaborate and share learning not only with their own classmates but also with students in grades above or below. Westfield Students Earn Awards and Honors

Congratulations to Westfield junior Jaden Childree who won the Georgia 4H Wildlife/Marine Science project, earned the Water Wise scholarship, and was named president of the Georgia 4H Northwest Senior Board! #westfieldproud

Congratulations to Westfield sophomore Joseph Bourque who has been accepted into the Duke TIP Field Study summer program. Joseph will study Tropical Medicine and Ethnobiology in Costa Rica this summer. #westfieldproud
