I'm really enjoying the current sermon series. I hope you are!

What I like is how natural the BLESS process is, and how human. So often people get

weird when they start talking about God. They can talk about sports and the weather just fine, but when they start talking about God, it's not natural and, it makes everyone uncomfortable.

I especially liked talking about eating together on Sunday. This is something we all do, and again, it can be so natural to invite someone into your life by inviting them to share a meal. Listen to the message here and join me on Sunday for the first "S" in BLESS.

Todd Sinz Released a CD!
There are a number of people at Cedarbrook who have been around since the beginning and have helped form the identity of the church. Todd Sinz is one of those people. Todd agreed to play drums way back in our theater days and he's been doing it ever since. He, Greg Wold, Steve Rosas, and Mike Glapa have been the bedrock of the band that has blessed so many people over all these years.

This past year, Todd has worked hard on putting together a CD of Christian songs that you will love. I've been playing it at home and keep hitting "repeat." He's got a number of guest artists playing from Cedarbrook: Tera Hinzman, Meghan Sinz, Andre Oldberg, Greg Wold, and Randy Sinz.

The CD's are on sale in the lobby of the church. Pick one up for yourself and a friend. Todd will donate the proceeds from the first 50 CD sales to the fall Honduras mission trip.

I'll continue the B.L.E.S.S. series on Sunday. I hope to see you there!

Remy

p.s. We are looking for 12 more people to lead a Circle for our Fall New Testament series where we'll read the New Testament and discuss it each week in a circle. Please email me if interested. Read about it below.

Reading Through the New Testament
Preparing now for a Fall launch

Reading through the New Testament
Reading through the
New Testament
This fall we will take eight weeks to read our way through the New Testament with sermons and videos to support our reading.

In addition to the daily readings, videos, and sermons, we want to offer 25 circles where people meet to discuss the weekly New Testament readings.

Would you consider facilitating one of these reading groups? If you are currently leading a circle, would you consider joining this new study?

To learn more, read this page and watch the embedded video. Please contact Lisa Diederich if you are interested in facilitating a circle.

Want to get a head start? This website will give you a link to download a free e-book of the New Testament, a free audio version, and links to daily videos that help explain the Bible.

Consider Transformation Prayer Ministry (TPM)
When counseling isn't enough

Cedarbrook's best kept secret is our Transformation Prayer Ministry (TPM). TPM helps facilitate inner healing of deep hurts that manifest in depression, shame, anger, fear, etc.

If you have struggled with these problems and found no help elsewhere, then maybe it's time to try something new.

We have a trained team of prayer facilitators. To learn more, watch the introductory video and then email Lisa Diederich to set up an introductory meeting.

Jesus came to set us free. Don't let your past keep you in bondage.

Stepping Stones Can Use Your Help

Stepping Stones logo
Want to Be a Rescue Ranger?

Stepping Stones is looking for volunteers who can transport food from our food rescue partners in Menomonie.
Because of our Food Rescue program with local partners in Menomonie, we are able to provide fresh produce and many other foods to our Food Pantry clients.
This helps us stretch our Food Pantry budget, adds variety, and redirects food that would otherwise end up in the landfill.  We collect food from Marketplace Foods, Dick's Fresh Market, Walmart, Kwik Trip, Aldi's, Menomonie Market Co-op, and Caribou/Einstein Bagels.

If you have a truck, van or SUV,  a good driving record, and a few extra hours YOU could become a Rescue Ranger!  This is a great activity for individuals, families, or groups and will help us keep our food pantry stocked.

If you are interested in joining our team to help out with our Food Rescue program, please contact: our Community Connections Coordinator, Jane Redig at:

Free Counseling Service Available at UW Stout

Emily Onken is a psychology student at UW-Stout. Her cohort is taking a summer counseling class, where they are required to counsel 3 community members for 4 sessions, with each session being 30 minutes long. The purpose of the course is to build on basic counseling skills as a counselor-in-training. If you would be interested/able to come to campus for four sessions throughout the summer you can contact her here.

We are passing this information on as a public service. Cedarbrook does not necessarily endorse the counseling provided but want you to be aware of the opportunity.
