WHAT'S GOING ON AT WOODLAWN  *  October 19 , 2017

We still need people to sign up and host a trunk at Trunk -or- Treat! This is going to be a great community-wide event and we are so excited for it. Here is all the info you'll need but if you have any questions feel free to contact Cassidy Hasty at  850-234-3196 or email at  cassidy@woodlawnpcb.org.

WHAT IS TRUNK OR TREAT?
It is an event where volunteers decorate the trunks of their vehicle and fill it with individually wrapped candy. Children walk around to vehicles where they will receive candy. In addition to the Trunks, we will have bouncy houses, pizza, and a movie screen set up to watch kid's Halloween shows. This is an excellent outreach opportunity.

WHAT DO I DO?
Sign-up  HERE to host a trunk.  As far as themes go - we encourage families to be creative. You can just decorate your vehicle, or you can set up a game to make it interactive, and/or dress up. Every vehicle will hand out candy. We ask that you bring candy and/or prizes for around 200 kids.  We will be awarding prizes for Best Individual Costume, Best Family Costume, and Best Decorated Trunk.

BE CREATIVE!

You can just decorate your vehicle, or set up a game to make it interactive,
or dress up, too.

WHEN DO I NEED TO ARRIVE?
The trunk or treating is from 5:30-7:30pm on October 25th at the church. To ensure that all vehicles are parked and set up before the children arrive, please arrive between 4:00 and 5:00. For safety reasons, we will not allow vehicles to arrive after 5:15.

WHAT OTHER THINGS DO I NEED TO KNOW?
  • While we encourage you to have fun, please remember that we are representing God and Woodlawn UMC. Please choose decorations, games, and costumes that reflect this (i.e. no skeletons, violent, or demonic themes, or "revealing" costumes).
  • No open flames (including candles). Please use battery operated lights.
  • Pre-wrapped candy only. We cannot give out homemade items.
  • Vehicles will not be able to leave until after the event is over. Please clean up your area following the close of the evening.
Thank you for investing in your church &
your local community!
