GET TOMATOES, PLEASE!!
This is the time that gardeners wait for -- tomato season. And here in Central TX it is a brief and therefore even-more-to-be-savored time. I know it was Father's Day last weekend, so come out this week and get some! Call or text to make sure someone will be here, but chances are, any day this week you can swing thru. 743-4245
For Dad's Day I made up some salsa -- quick and easy according to my sister-in-law, Nancy Asencio's, instruction. Apparently it was good, because they all disappeared during CSA pick-up on Sunday!

* cut tomatoes, peppers, onion, garlic and place in a single layer in a roasting pan
* bake in the oven for 30 minutes at 450 degrees
* let cool and blend in a food processor or blender
* EAT
