In celebration of Black History Month, join the Joiner Institute and the Trotter Institute for the Study of Black Culture at UMass Boston for a presentation on "African Americans in Times of War."

Ron E. Armstead of the Congressional Black Caucus Veterans Braintrust  will explore the many contributions of African Americans who served in America's wars and the continued efforts to support African American veterans, their families and communities through policy and advocacy

The Veteran's Braintrust forum is widely recognized as the premiere forum for discussion and policy debate between veterans of African descent and leaders in government.

Ron E. Armstead  is the Executive Director for the Congressional Black Caucus Veterans Braintrust located in Washington, DC. He has served as Executive Director of the CBCVB since its inception. Ron holds a Master Degree in City Planning with a concentration in Affordable Housing and Community Development from MIT and is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
