Give Miami Day is on 11.15.18! Here are four ways to join the movement
Give Miami Day is tomorrow, and the 750+ nonprofits participating in the online donation event need YOU to make it the biggest one yet. Last year, this community made history, raising $10.1 million in 24 hours. The
Miami Herald asked,
can we do it again? Here's how you can help:
Donate to a cause: Explore the 758 nonprofits participating on GiveMiamiDay.org, and plan to make a gift starting at midnight tonight.
Support the bonus pool: With our sponsors, the Foundation will make a bonus gift for every donation received between $25 and $10,000.
Spread the movement: Forward this message to friends, family and colleagues and invite them to share why they'll give using the #GiveMiamiDay hashtag.

How your Give Miami Day donations help this nonprofit unite kids with parents in prison
This holiday season, kids will hop on a bus with
Children of Inmates (COI) to visit their parents incarcerated at Everglades Correctional Institution. Even with their state funding, COI relies on dollars from
Give Miami Daydonors to cover expenses that couldn't be covered otherwise.
Sam Ludington, a
Miami Fellows alum who helped lead their work, shares how your donations helped one family honor a lost loved one.

Civic Leadership
After the election, how else can you make a difference on the issues you care about?
Miami-Dade County voters came out in record numbers for the midterm elections.
Dawn Shirreffs, Foundation director of public affairs,
broke down the ballot. Now, she explains what the results mean for residents and what you can do to build your community and support the organizations working on critical issues year-round.
We're always looking for people and organizations that do great work in our community. If you have a story or know one we should highlight, email Ana Mantica.
