Tour Permits Eliminated

Effective April 1st, the National Council of the Boy Scouts of America will no longer require units (packs, troops, teams, crews, or posts) to submit Tour Permits to the local council office for approval.

These changes are to increase consistency, reduce complexity, changes conversations in unit planning, and eliminates processing. In addition, there will not be a new program to replace the tour permit.

Lastly, the elimination does not effective a unit's or council's insurance. If you have further questions, please click the link Tour and Activity Plan FAQ to see briefing sent from the National Office.
