Tournament Registration to Open February 1, 2017
Registration for most Colorado PGA Tournaments will open on Wednesday, February 1, 2017.
Three tournaments will include new registration this year. The Pro-Pro-Pro, Myran Craig Pro-Pro and the Four-Ball Match Play event will all be setup for individual registration, not team registration as in years past.

PAT Sites Needed for 2017 Season
The Colorado PGA is looking for courses interested in hosting a Playing Ability Test in 2017. The schedule runs from April through October and facilities must host the 36-hole test in one-day.

Two-Day Rules Workshop to Offer Discounts for Groups
The Colorado Golf Association, with support from the Allied Golf Associations of Colorado, will be hosting a two-day Rules Workshop concurrent with the 2017 Denver Golf Expo.
The more guests you register, the more discounted registrations fees will be. The following golf themed pricing structure will be utilized: Single: $75, Twosome: $100, Threesome: $125, Foursome: $150.

G4 Summit Lineup Finalized
The 2017 G4 Summit will be held February 21, 2017 at the Omni Interlocken Resort in Broomfield, CO. The annual event brings together representatives from across the golf industry in Colorado for a day of networking and learning in a dynamic setting. This event is a true "can't miss" event on the 2017 calendar.

Major General Ryan F. Gonsalves, Division Commander, 4th Infantry Division & Fort Carson has been added to the list of presenters for the 2017 G4 Summit. MG Gonsalves assumed command of 4th Infantry Division and Fort Carson May 14, 2015. He will speak on Mentoring Those Behind Us.

Papadopolous Named to Global Golf Post All Pro Team
Ari Papadopolous, PGA Head Professional at the Norman Course at Red Sky Golf Club was recently named to the Global Golf Post All Pro Team. Global Golf Post, the leading digital golf magazine in the world, unveiled its third annual PGA of America All-Pro Teams in this week's issue.
The 55 players, representing 30 PGA Sections, are the PGA golf professionals who posted outstanding performances in 2016.

Submit Your Name as a Candidate for the Board of Directors
The process to submit your name for consideration for the Colorado PGA Board of Directors is now open. The membership in attendance at the March 27, 2017 Spring Membership Meeting will be electing three (3) new Colorado PGA Members to replace our outgoing Board of Directors this coming October. Each newly elected Board Member will serve a three (3) year term beginning this October 16th, 2017 at the Section's Fall Membership Meeting and ending three (3) years later at the same meeting.

Volunteer Today for Denver VA Hospital Visit
The Colorado PGA REACH Foundation will host our annual Denver VA Hospital visit on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 from 10am to 12pm. PGA Professionals will hand out hats (provided by the Colorado PGA) and will meet and greet with veterans as a way to say thanks during National Salute to Veteran Patients week.

USGA, R&A Considering Significant Rules Changes
As
first reported by Golfweek and later confirmed by Golf Channel insider Tim Rosaforte, the USGA and R&A are considering making changes to several key rules in an attempt to "simplify the code by which the game is played."
