Downtown Parking Ban 1/2/14

Park new havenA downtown parking ban will go into effect tonight, Thursday, January 2, beginning at midnight and ending at 6am on Friday, January 3.  

 

The downtown parking ban encompasses all streets within the area bounded by Howe Street, Tower Parkway, Grove Street, State Street and North Frontage Road.  

 

Cars remaining parked on downtown streets during the parking ban will be towed.  

 

A parking ban is also in effect for posted snow routes and residents are asked to park on the even side of the street where ever possible.  

 

Free parking will be available in the Temple Street garage for those arriving between 7pm and midnight tonight (1/2/14) and again beginning at 7pm tomorrow (1/3/14). Parkers will receive a voucher that enables them to exit the garages without charge until 10am Saturday morning.

Snow Removal

A reminder to our constituents that it is the responsibility of property and business owners to clear walkways and entrances to their property during and following snowfall.

The Town Green will continue to work with City on emergency snow clearing from public areas (curb cuts, sidewalks, etc) during and following inclement weather.
