Small Business Saturday

Greece, NY - November 19, 2015 - The Town of Greece and the Greece Chamber of Commerce today announced they will partner to promote this year's Small Business Saturday scheduled for Saturday,

November 28, 2015.

In 2010, American Express created Small Business Saturday, encouraging people nationwide to support small, local businesses. This day, dedicated to small businesses, provides a way for shoppers to support their local neighborhood businesses and has quickly become a holiday shopping tradition. Last year, an estimated 88 million people came out to shop small businesses on Small Business Saturday, spending an estimated $14.3 billion dollars nationwide, up $300,000 from 2013.

Small Business Saturday was started by American Express in 2010 and continues to grow in popularity each year. The day provides a perfect opportunity for showcasing local small businesses and all they have to offer.

For holiday shoppers, it's a fun day to find unique gifts, get great deals and support our small business community, keeping our purchases and our dollars in our own backyard.

Businesses wishing to increase their advertising exposure for Small Business Saturday should visit the American Express Small Business Saturday web page.

If you are a Greece Chamber of Commerce member in good standing we would love the opportunity to help you publicize your Small Business Saturday discounts and specials. The Chamber will be sending out a dedicated email blast encouraging holiday shoppers to shop local and would like to include the special deals that are members are offering.
