Louisiana presented "regional 4E approach to saving lives" at Lifesavers Conference

On behalf of the Strategic Highway Safety Plan (SHSP) Communications Coordinating Council (CCC), the Louisiana Center for Transportation Safety (LCTS) along with the regional safety coalition coordinators presented a poster titled "Louisiana's 4E Regional Approach to Saving Lives: The Goal Is Destination Zero Deaths" at the recently held Lifesavers Conference last April 3-5, 2016 in Long Beach, California.. The poster depicted Louisiana's approach of establishing regional safety coalitions to implement the 4E's of safety (education, engineering, EMS and enforcement). It also showed how statewide leadership and stakeholder  collaboration attributed to some successes at the local levels.

At the poster session were (from left) Cassie Parker (South Central Planning and Development Commission), Melissa Newell (Acadiana Planning Commission), Rudynah Capone (LCTS), Yuwen Hou (Rapides Planning Commission), Dortha Cummins(LCTS Director) and Ben Magallon (Imperial Calcasieu Regional Planning and Development)
