The 1.5 mile hike on the new trail section starts at 1:30pm at the Grassy Creek Vineyard & Winery tasting room, off Klondike Road in Elkin. You will walk by a beautiful section of the Grassy Creek followed by a trip through the "enchanted white pine forest" before ending at Byrd's Branch Campground for ice cream.
EVTA is an all volunteer non-profit organization with a primary mission of building a segment of the NC Mountains to Sea Trail, connecting Stone Mountain State Park to Elkin.Trail sections are being opened as they are finished. Come join our project!
