Join Us this Saturday on the Trail...

Everyone interesting in working on the Stone Mountain Trail (Wells Knob section in Wilkes County) meet at the Roaring Gap Church at 1753 Roaring Gap Church Road at 8:15 am on Saturday, 6/28/14. The plan is to walk the entire section from Wells Knob Road to the lower trail head, from the top to the bottom.
We will lop, trim and remove any trees and branches that have grown or fallen on this section of trail, last Winter/Spring. So loppers and hand saws are the needed tools for the work day. Long pants, gloves, water and energy will be needed for the work, so bring what you can!
We will start a large group at the gate at the top of Wells Knob, but have enough transportation at the bottom to get the volunteers back up to the top to pick up the transportation we will leave up there. So a few will start at the bottom and meet the larger group from the top to end up at the bottom trail head.
