A new year has bought some interesting and exciting new stock at Trainspotters.
Hitting the shelves we have some classic British 1930/40's industrial lighting from Maxlume,
a prodigious mid-century manufacturer of industrial and public lighting.
We have a masculine Maxlume industrial pendant in 2 sizes, and some very unusual angular
bulkhead lights that Maxlume produced alongside electrical manufacturers Veritys.
On a slightly poignant note we have decided to finally let go of the last few original railway luggage
racks that we set aside for posterity some years ago.
We started the business salvaging these beauties from the slam door trains that were being scrapped
at the time.
We've since re-manufactured our own shortened and adapted version, such was the demand, but here
is the last opportunity to acquire an original.
As of this month's newsletter we are introducing a 'cheap to clear' offer - this month it is some original trestle
bases- functional and saleable, but not the way we want to go with our stock.
With an extensive sourcing trip in Eastern Europe already under our belt this month we have an array of new
communist-issue stock coming very soon.
We are also very excited about a large quantity of beautiful Holophane lights from the Concorde Hangars at Heathrow, recently demolished.. watch this space..
