Transatlantic Cluster Insights
Greetings!

Spring is finally upon us and so is the
Industry 4.0 Delegation trip to Germany!

We are focusing on IIoT during this exchange - one of the hottest topics within manufacturing industries on both sides of the Atlantic.

Please join us for our events in Darmstadt, Stuttgart, and Hannover to gain some first-hand experience in Industry 4.0 between May 14 and 18, 2018 . Take a look at our travel itinerary and connect with us at these events.

We are happy to announce that we were a catalyst to make a partnership between Precision Image Analysis (PIA) and Siemens Healthineers happen through our initiative (read more below).

We invite cluster representatives from all industries to  reach out and discuss future collaboration within the Transatlantic Cluster Initiative!

Kind regards,

Review: Roadshow on Industry 4.0
Change Management and Workforce Development in Focus
The Industry 4.0 roadshow led our German partners to three regions in the U.S.: Cleveland, OH, Troy, MI and Chicago, IL.

Major takeaways from the roadshow:

  • Change management and employee coordination are crucial for the successful implementation of Industry 4.0 applications
  • The U.S. mechanical engineering industry must continue to invest in both the digitization of its industrial production processes and the education of its workforce
  • Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality applications are becoming more prevalent for remote maintenance tasks, assembly, and many more processes

Dialog between researchers and industry leaders is one of the key components of continued innovation for Industry 4.0 and will remain paramount in future.

Join our Transatlantic Cluster Platform on LinkedIn to keep the dialog open.

What Participants Say
“We participated in the Transatlantic Cluster Initiative roadshow on Industry 4.0 to observe best practices of how economic development works in the USA. Through great organization by GACC Midwest, we had an insight into workshops carried out by networks to support implementing smart devices in production. We took part in a tour of mHUB, Chicago’s first innovation center focused on physical product development and visited companies to understand the progress of digitization in production. The program gave us the chance to network and organize strategic partnerships with companies and organizations closely aligned with the operational and economic goals of our organization.”
