GIANT Food Stores generously sponsored a new West York Giant Shuttle that offers free transportation for riders to shop at the GIANT at 1255 Carlisle Road in York after the closure of the 1200 West Market Street location. The new shuttle began Wed. Jan. 25 and operates Monday, Wednesday and Friday. GIANT currently sponsors an East York Shuttle to 2415 East Market Street operating Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday. Schedules can be found here.
Grant To Aid Transit Riders
Bell Socialization Services, a human services organization serving York and Adams counties, received a $5,000 grant from Community Aid, based in Mechanicsburg. This year’s funds are designated to purchase rabbittransit bus passes to help Bell service users get to appointments, work, interviews, Bell programs, and more. Enabling ease of access to public transportation is key to improving the quality of life for individuals in Bell’s mental health and homeless services departments. Bell hosts two Community Aid clothing collection bins -- one at its Oasis House at Queen & Jackson in York City and a second at the Carlisle Ave. location of partner, Re-Source York.
Family First Health Partnership

rabbittransit has partnered with Family First Health to meet critical medical needs of the local community by offering transportation through a service sharing agreement. This partnership will meet the immediate need of patients who are being referred by Family First Health because they are in need of lab services at Wellspan York Hospital or Apple Hill Medical Center, but have no other way of getting there. We are excited at the prospect of this partnership to further advance mobility for urgent  needs.

Fixed Route Survey
rabbittransit launched its fixed route survey which will run Feb. 1 through Feb. 22. This is a valuable opportunity to hear from our riders. Survey participants will have the opportunity to enter to win 6 months of rides FREE on the fixed route. To complete the survey online, visit www.rabbittransit.org/survey. Computers are available at Martin Library along the Route 1E or hard copy surveys will be distributed at peak times on the buses.
