He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him.
Trauma Informed Care
Shifting focus from 'What's wrong with you?' to
'What happened to you?'
Did you know that 59% of all American adults have experienced significant trauma in their lives? For our patients, that percentage is even higher.

Many of our patients have come a long way from countries wracked by war and crime. Others face trauma due to conditions such as housing instability, domestic violence, and food insecurity, among other things.

Trauma can have a profound effect on physical and emotional health. As one would assume, trauma can lead to increased rates of alcoholism, drug abuse, depression, and anxiety. These factors in turn can lead to obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and stroke, among other physical ailments.

In 2017, CrossOver began training all of our employees in Trauma Informed Care. Through this system we are creating an environment that provides a safe space for our patients from the moment they walk through our doors to the moment they leave.

In addition, our Mental Health and Social Work teams have advanced training to help those most in need to deal with and overcome traumatic experiences.

CrossOver employs innovative programs like this throughout our clinics to provide the best care for our patients.
