Domestic Showcase Already Generates over $500,000 in Earned Media Value
In March 2015, in celebration of Travel South USA's 50th Anniversary, we hosted 34 travel journalists to Louisiana.  From social media exposure to published articles, these journalists represented a wide range of media outlets such as newspaper, print and digital magazines, as well as blogs.
 During their press trip and time in Shreveport- Bossier social media was abuzz with 400 posts generating 350,747 impressions.  After Showcase appointments with Southern hospitality representatives, these journalist turned their Southern inspiration into 137 published articles which resulted in a total of 7,582,450 media impressions and generated an ad value of $500,583.
Here is a recap of the preliminary report with some highlights...
 
-Diana Lambdin Meyer wrote The End of I-49, Elvis, Crawfish and Steel Magnolias which was published in various print and online pubs including The Los Angeles Times.
 
-Wayne Walters has highlighted several Southern cities including Huntsville, AL, Richmond, VA, and Myrtle Beach, SC through insider's guides in Convention South Magazine.  
 
-Amy Charles' appointment with Chattanooga CVB lead to an informational piece in Teach & Travel. She also produced a piece for Groups Today highlighting museums in Atlanta, GA, Shreveport, LA, and St. Louis, MO.
