Planting Trees is Fun!

Canopy staff and volunteers recently offered a environmental science lesson and tree planting at Brentwood Academy in East Palo Alto. Kids learned everything about trees from roots to canopy.

Assemblyman Rich Gordon
and Gloria Hernandez, Superintendent of East Palo Alto's Ravenswood City School District, dropped by to help Brentwood 4th graders plant a new young tree near the play ground.

The Urban Forest Master Plan establishes long-term management strategies and goals to foster a sustainable urban forest in Palo Alto. Preparation of the Urban Forest Master Plan began in 2010 when the City worked with HortScience, Inc. and Canopy to develop a plan for our city's urban forest.
